NED’s STORY : Kumanjayi

Passionate about nature, animals and the world beyond just human need, Ned lives with his wife Arlee, on land that has not been sprayed with chemicals for 40 years. He has a varied career of cooking and counselling and his Men’s! Work

He is part of the Men and Family Centre in Lismore Australia, which has been running Men’s Behaviour Change Programs since 1993, and is one of only a handful of organisations in NSW accredited to do so by the Department of Attorney General and Justice.

The Men and Family Centre is a professional team of men and women who primarily work to end male violence against women and children. This involves challenging traditional ideas of masculinity that are often based on concepts of status, power, strength, avoidance of emotional expression, ownership and control.
