Traveling along the back roads of New South Wales Australia our eyes were drawn to a Hare Krshna events being held at the New Govardhana Temple. It was the last thing that we expected to see and our curiosity drew us in to find out what was going on.
We were so warmly welcomed by the most wonderful of people who invited us to join them for the day, to have lunch with them and experience their celebration.
When we told them of our mission to create A Thousand Grandparents and Bedtimes Stories, they sprang to action to ask the people there if anybody would be willing to contribute stories to the project.
Saranya Dasi is an absolute Delight Maker, an elder of their community, who, with no training or preparation whatsoever, sat before our cameraman, David Warth, and began to tell the story of The Cobbler and the Yogi.
They loved the project and they generously brought their love to it. Saranya is the absolute essence of a grandmother, full of wisdom, joy and light, an absolute treasure.
